EL DISCRETO ARTE DE TOCAR LOS... A LA GENTE

ACABALLAO

Pedro Veitía, a cuban filmmaker and actor who lives in Barcelona, decides to accept the invitation of his country government to attend an international meeting on politics and immigration in La Habana. After eight years far away from the island and eleven without even seeing his family, he makes the journey with Cristina, his girlfriend, in order to find the Cuba he left, to make a cultural bridge between Spain and Cuba with his work, and to attend the meeting.

But the event is suspended until next year due to a strong and unexpected political crisis. Nevertheless, Pedro Veitía and Cristina decide to make the journey because of Pedro’s longing to see his family.

The political issues are not the theme of this documentary. Pedro makes exactly the same journey he dreamed of in Barcelona: he wants to “be” a Cuban, see his family and friends, find everything he left behind. He wants to be a native, a citizen again, even if it’s only for 21 days.
